Serena Williams got her phone back from the robber

Serena Williams ran after and successfully got her cellphone back after a man attempted to rob it last Tuesday at a restaurant in San Francisco, according to reporter Andria Borba. The Wimbledon champion was seen in a video eating at a San Francisco restaurant when a man half covered with his jacket came close and took her cellphone.

But because the tennis star was alert and she immediately noticed her missing cellphone, she then chased after the guy whom she thought had stole it. She confronted the man outside the restaurant and had managed to get her phone back.

“In the most menacing yet calm no nonsense voice I could muster I kindly asked him if he “accidentally” took the wrong phone. He stumbled on his words probably not expecting this to happen. While he was thinking of the right thing to say and eventually he said ‘Gosh you know what I did! It was so confusing in there. I must have grabbed the wrong phone,’” Williams posted on her Facebook page.

After returning inside the restaurant with her cellphone, Williams received a standing ovation from the other diners. She even posted in Facebook that she had a “SUPERHERO sense” of the guy and she named herself “SuperSerena.”
