Larson’s real name is Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers. She was born in 1989 at Sacramento, California. When her mother and father separated, she and her mother, together with her younger sister, moved to Los Angeles, and that’s when she entered the industry. She changed her surname to Larson, as ‘Desaulniers’ is hard to pronounce. She appeared as guest in different TV shows and finally, at the age of 15, was given the opportunity to take fer first movie role. In 2003, she played as one of the ‘six chicks’ in the movie ’13 going 30.’
In 2004, she started showing her talent in singing. She released her first single ‘She Said’ which reached the 31st spot on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2006, she was given a main role for the comedy ‘Hoot.’
When she scored a big movie role for ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ in 2010, where she played the role of Envy Adams, she also had her final singing appearance. And in 2012, she got another major role for the ’21 Jump Street’.
In 2013, she accepted a supporting role for an indie film ‘The Spectular Now’, which starred Shailene Woodley. Because of this project, Larson and Woodley became good friends. ‘We’re the lighthouse for each other: the beam that stays focused and guides you home,’ said Brie.
It was also in that same year when Larson became a part of the ‘Short Term 12’, where she played as the young supervisor of a treatment center. This year, she starred in the film ‘Trainwreck’ and just this fall, she had her latest movie, ‘Room’.
