We all know just how successful Adele is in her career. The british singer had been discovered since she was 19 years old in which her first album hit “Chasing Pavements” got us wanting for more.
Having said that, earning over $75 MILLION dollars as of 2015, what are the stepping stones did Adele had been through in getting the worth-having cash?
During her high school, Adele had passionate about music. And it was the end of high school year that she decided to make a move about it. A friend of her posted a video of her singing on Myspace, which eventually got the attention of Richard Russel, boss of the music label XL Recordings.
Since then, Nick Huggett decided to sign Adele to the Label XL in September 2006, having her breakthrough song entitled “Hometown Glory” to be released in October 2007.
By the age of 19, she had her first album entitled ’19’ which got her to write and compose various of songs. Her song “Chasing Pavements” became a hit in January 2008 as it was listed as number 2 on the UK Chart for four weeks in constant.
In 2008, Adele had a deal with Columbia Records and XL recordings into breaking into the music scene in the U.S. in which she embarked during a short North American Tour that occurred in the same month. Since then, her album ’19’ got variety of positive comments and reviews in June.
With this, Adele received ‘Best New Artist’ at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in February 2009. In addition, her song ‘Chasing Pavements’ was also nominated as the ‘Best Female Pop Vocal Performance’ along with Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Adele continually being successful by the year 2011 in which she released her second album entitled ’21.’ In this album, it was inspired by a broken relationship with her ex-boyfriend. As having her first and second singles entitled “Someone Like You” and “Rolling in the Deep”
The two singles were in the Top 5 of the UK singles chart which broke various sales performance records. Not only that, the song were on top in charts of multiple markets.
By December 2011, over 3.4 million copies sold in the UK, and eventually became the biggest selling album of 21st century. In which, Adele just took over Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black.’
By the year 2012, Adele had been writing, recording, and composing the theme song for Skyfall in which she had it sold for over 2 million copies and earned the Golden Globe Award and Academy Award for Best Original Song.
By 2015, in which she had over $75 Million net worth, she is indeed continually being successful as ever!
As she stated,
“My last record was a break-up record, and if I had to label this one, I would call it a make-up record. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. 25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising. And I’m sorry it took so long but, you know, life happened.”
Her latest song “Hello” had become the first song in the US to sell at least one million downloads on its first week! As it records to 1.11 million, making it the biggest-selling single for over three years with 330,000 copies sold on its first week sales!
